Practical Features of The ANAM Shamanic Journey CD
1 - CLEAN DRUMMING SEQUENCES ONLY
giving simple straight forward drumming support to your work.
There are no distracting introduction talks,
meditation sequences or anything else in this drumming program
apart from the drumming.
2 - LONG MAIN DRUMMING SEQUENCE ON THE FIRST TRACK
allows you to journey freely for up to 74 mins.
This gives plenty of time for even the most extended sessions
so you have no concerns of the drumming ever finishing
before you are ready to come back
- this is a major drawback with other 'set journey time' recordings.
3 - CALLBACK DRUMMING SEQUENCE IS ON THE SECOND TRACK
. This unique feature which is copyright (© 2006) to this CD
gives you total control of each journey duration.
No need to worry about the drumming ending prematurely.
No need to try and decide the exact length of a journey BEFORE you set out on it.
Just keep your remote close by and when you are ready to come back,
skip forward to track two to bring the call back on whenever you wish,
it's as simple as that.
And if you don't skip forward,
the call back will automatically come on once the first track eventually finishes
a full 74 minutes after the start of the journey
About shamanic drumming
Shamanic drumming can offer a relatively easy induction into altered states.
The technique which has been used so extensively by indigenous people
going back to Neolithic times, uses a single, repetitive rhythm
played at a tempo of some three to four beats per second.
The constant striking of the drum produces
a repetitive and monotonous beat pattern.
The various frequencies of the drum interact with our own resonant frequencies.
Its gentle calming resonance promotes relaxation
and the release of endorphins into the body.
This can help to release blocked emotional patterns,
synchronize the left and right hemispheres of the brain,
and stimulate alpha and theta brain wave cycles.
Physiologically, our response to the alpha state
is often a deep physical relaxation which comes over us
and we experience a dreamy, daydream-like state of being.
The theta brain wave is experienced as the deep dreaming state.
These deep states of relaxation
are the doorway to enter the land of imagination and non ordinary reality
which is the terrain of exploration while doing journeywork.
This drumming CD offers continuous drumming
with the call back on a separate track
that you can use for extended styles of journeywork and guided visualizations.
